| So you can save a backup of software installed on your computer or restore it with a click of a button using the CMD command prompt |
It's very easy thanks to the Windows Package Manager tool that Microsoft has combined with Windows 10 and Windows 11, which allows you to manage software through CMD where a widget order can make you install or easily update software.
If you want to install a new Windows version and don't want to lose your favorite software, or you want to transfer your software to another computer, backup options will benefit you via CMD.
You will head to the CMD command router by clicking Win + S and in the search bar type CMD or Windows Terminal from the search results you can choose to run it with the powers of the administrator "Run as administrator."
You will then hit the Enter button, and if you are using the method for the first time you can write y to approve the license agreement and then press Enter (override this step if you used the Windows Package Manager function previously).
Now, you'll get a JSON file called "Exported" and you'll find it in Partition C containing all the software that you can reinstall with a click of a button.
It is noticeable that the Windows Package Manager function does not unfortunately save all the software and you will not find it in the JSON file but only the software supported by the tool currently more than 3,700 different programs have been supported and the number is in the process of increasing.
You can open the file "exported.json" via "Notepad" and when you view the contents of the file you will learn about the various programs that the function has successfully saved and you can retrieve them.
Now, to restore the software, make sure that the file is stored in Partnership C when it opens directly and you will open CMD and write the following order:
The list in the JSON file will then be checked, and then the software will be easily installed. If software previously installed on your device is directly overtaken, so you can easily restore your software.
